COMMENT: If a type 0 file is selected for loading, the
message “(Format 0 file, will auto-map tracks)” appears
in place of this field. This indicates that, as with the ONE
PER MIDI OUTPUT selection, one track will be created
for each channel/port assignment that exists in the file’s
single track.
Once the MIDI file is loaded into memory, the following screen will
appear:

This screen is similar to the MPC60 “Save a sequence” screen. Change
the disk if desired, edit the sequence name as needed and press <Do
it>. The newly saved sequence will not overwrite the original MIDI file on
disk.
To convert an MPC60 sequence file to a MIDI file
From the “Convert To/From MIDI File” screen, select the MPC60
sequence file (.SEQ) to be converted and press <Load>. The following
screen will appear:

To save the MIDI file, insert a 720K Windows disk, set the fields as
needed and press <Do it>. The following is a description of the fields in
this screen:
The FILENAME field shows the 8 character name for the MIDI file. You
may edit this field as you would any MPC60 alphanumeric field. The
