Chapter 9: Saving to and Loading from Disk
sure that the same settings are used when loading any MPC60 SET
or ST1 files that you plan to use with the converted SEQ files.
If you modify the conversion table from the factory-preset defaults,
your changes will be retained in memory even after power is turned
off, so that the next time you load an MPC60 sequence, it will be
converted using your edited conversion assignments.
Loading an ALL File (All Sequences and Songs)
If an ALL file is selected and <Load it> is pressed, an additional
screen will appear warning you that all sequences and songs cur-
rently in memory will be erased:
==== Load All Seqs and Songs (.ALL) ====
This will erase all sequences and songs
currently in memory!
========================================
<Load it>
Press <Load it> to load the ALL file.
If the file is an MPC60 version 1 or 2 ALL file
If the ALL file is a MPC60 version 1 or 2 file, additional screens are
presented, just as when an MPC60 version SEQ file is loaded. (See
the section above entitled, “Loading an MPC60 version 1 or 2 SEQ
file.”) The only difference is that in this case, each sequence within
the ALL file will be converted using the pad-to-note conversion
table.
Loading a SND File (Single Sound)
If a SND file is selected and <Load it> is pressed, the sound
loads immediately. No other screens are presented. If an MPC60
SND file is loaded, it is automatically converted into a 16-bit file
and the MPC3000 sound format.
