Chapter 8: Creating and Editing Sounds
Renaming, Copying, and Deleting a Sound
To rename, copy, or delete a sound, convert a stereo sound to mono,
or delete all sounds, select option 7 from the PROGRAM/SOUNDS
menu. The following screen will appear:
====== Rename, Copy, Delete Sound ======
Select sound:Sound_name
========================================
<Play> <Rename> <Copy> <Delete>
The fields and soft keys are:
• The Select sound field:
This field is used to select the sound to be renamed, copied, or
deleted. It is a choice field containing an alphabetic list of all sounds
in memory. Pressing a pad will select the sound currently assigned
to that pad in the current program. If a stereo sound is selected,
(ST) is displayed to the right of the sound name.
• The <Play> soft key:
Pressing this soft key plays the selected sound at full velocity level
through the stereo outputs.
• The <Rename> soft key:
Pressing this soft key causes a new field, New name, to appear
below the Select sound field:
============= Rename Sound =============
Select sound:Sound_name
New name:Sound_name
========================================
<Do it>
Enter the new name in the New name field, using the same
method as editing the Sequence Name field in the Play/Record
screen. Once the new name is entered, press <Do it>.
