If you upgrade your OS from

AKAI's 1.07 to 2.11 or even

the JJ OS, the levels of all

samples or tracks created

with earlier OS versions

change, because AKAI

switched the level algorythm

from linear to logarythmic

(see graph below). On the

le of each equation, you

see the levels for OS 1.07

and on the right you see the

corresponding volumes for

AKAI OS 2.11/JJ OS. is

should help you to restore the

original volumes of projects

created on OS 1.07 or earlier.

Aer upgrading the OS, load

a project and replace the old

levels with the new ones and

everything should sound as

it's supposed to.
