GENERAL GRID EDIT CONTROLS (DRUM/ MIDI/ AUDIO)
t or u or p or q Moves the cursor left, right, up, or down step by step.
[SHIFT] + t or u or p or q Move the cursor outside of the Grid.
DATA wheel Inside the Grid, turn the DATA wheel to move the locator forwards or
backwards along the time line. Outside the Grid, use it to change various
parameters.
p or q + DATA wheel Hold the up or down cursor button and turn the DATA wheel to move up
and down the Grid vertically.
[TAP TEMPO] Sets the note length/resolution of the Grid: the longer the notes, the
smaller the grid length, because less clicks are displayed. If you turn
quantization off, the grid becomes huge because it displays all 96 clicks
per bar! OS 1 Only!
[TAP TEMPO] + DATA wheel Selects multiple events of a single Pad along the time line
[TAP TEMPO] + DATA wheel + p or q Selects multiple events vertically at the current position of the time line.
[REC] or [OVER DUB] Press while the MPC is not playing to enter events into the grid, press
again to stop. (*) Also needed to enable Copy & Paste functionality!
[F1] (Track) Use to jump between Track settings and Grid
[F5] (Mute), [F6] (Solo) Mutes / Solos selected Track
DRUM GRID CONTROLS
[F2] (Q-Real) Enter the Q-LINK Real Time Event Edit Mode (DRUM Grid)
[F3] (16Pad/ 6Pad) Switch between 16Pad and 6Pad view (DRUM Grid)
[F4] (Program) Change Programs / Samples for the actual Track / Pad
Hold [SHIFT] Shows more Functions: T.C. [F1], Click [F2], Paste [F5]* and Loop [F6]
MIDI GRID CONTROLS
[F2] (Control) Use Q-LINK Sliders to to control pitch bend, MIDI control change,
channel pressure, and poly pressure with the Q-Link sliders during
recording/ editing.
[F3] (ALL) Switch between current scale and whole scale view
[F4] (PC) / (Delete)* MIDI Program Change Settings; Press [SHIFT] + p to enter
[F5] (Mute), [F6] (Solo) Mutes / Solos selected Track
Hold [SHIFT] More Functions: T.C. [F1], Click [F2], Zoom Out [F3], Zoom In [F4],
Paste [F5]*, Loop On [F6]
AUDIO GRID CONTROLS
[F2] (Fade) Enables Fade functionality in Audio Tracks
[F3] (Rec Setups) Edit the Audio Recording Setup. Also displays remaining record time.
[F3] (Fade In) Fade into Audio Samples; [Fade] (F2) has to enabled rst!
[F4] (Fade Out) Fade out of Audio Samples; ; [Fade] (F2) has to enabled rst!
Hold [SHIFT] Shows more Functions: Zoom Out [F3]/ In [F4], Range - [F5]/ + [F6]
