not only applies to naming sequences, but to all naming

procedures in the MPC 1000 in general!

n Changing the playback mode of a Sequence

Highlight the Sequence eld (Sq:) and press [WINDOW]

to enter the sequence’s preferences.

Turn the DATA wheel to bring up the name editor.

Use DATA wheel or cursor buttons to navigate the

alphabet and additional characters. Use t and u to

move the cursor in the name eld.

Select the letter / character of your choice and press u

to enter it. Repeat this for the rest of the name you want

to give to your sequence.

Use the F-keys for further naming operations like

DELETE [F1], INSERT [F2] and Copy & Paste [F5].

Use F3 [A/a] to switch between upper and lower case

characters.

Press ENTER (F6) to save the name.

Highlight the Sequence eld (Sq) and Press

[WINDOW] to enter the Sequence Options.

Move the cursor down to the ’Next sequence’ eld,

then use the DATA wheel to select from three of the

following playback modes:

END OF SEQUENCE: The next sequence starts after

the last has cycled through its bars.

IMMEDIATELY START: When skipping to the next

sequence, it immediately starts from the beginning.

IMMEDIATELY PLAY: This will play back the next

sequence from the actual playback position of the last/

current sequence.

Press F4 (CLOSE) to save changes.

n Simult Sequence

In MAIN screen, highlight the 'SS' eld and turn the

DATA wheel to select a sequence that will be played

back simultaneously with the Sequence selected in the

'Sq' eld.

Press PLAY.
